DIY Pore Strips

  1. Wash your face with warm water. If you can steam your face all the better. This will remove any dirt and excess oil, and will open up pores.
  2. Measure 1 Tablespoon of unflavored gelatin into a disposable container
  3. Add 1-2 Tablespoons of milk into the gelatin
  4. Mix it up, and be quick about it, until you get a chunky consistency, you can add more milk if its too chunky
  5. Microwave the gelatin for about 10-15 seconds. It will get creamier in the microwave. Stir well and start applying it IMMEDIATELY to your face. Avoid the eye area, and don’t get any in your mouth or nostrils
  6. Allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes. It may take longer depending on how thick it is. It will begin to feel really tight
  7. When the mask is dry, start peeling it off from the side or bottom. Work your way up slowly, pulling away from the face
  8. Rinse your face with cool water when done to remove any residue and close pores
  9. Apply a moisturizer. DONE!
  10. Use once a week, or twice if you have excessive blackheads. You can add a few drops of lavender essential oil if you’d like, or if you’re prone to acne you might want to try tea tree essential oil. For sensitive skin, try chamomile essential oil
  11. You could also spray your face with a natural toner, like The East End Soap and Candle Company’s Aromatherapy Sprays. It’s good stuff!
