Soap Box Template

Hi all – here is the template for the soap box as shown in my video. Disclaimer first – feel free to download and use for your own personal use but please do not sell or redistribute as your own, I retain all rights to my work. Enjoy!

Some notes:

This was printed on 8.5″ x 11″. You can always print on 12″ x 12″ or 11″ x 17″ if you prefer, just set your print settings accordingly.

The sample I used in the video has red fold lines. I realized after I shot the video that it wouldn’t look very nice to have these blaring red lines on the inside of your box, so I redid the template and changed the red to a light grey. A lot less noticeable.

I used a scissor because I was lazy, the correct way would be to use a craft knife or blade, especially when cutting the slits in the middle of the folds. That will give you nice clean cuts.

You’re not limited to just white card stock. I used Hammermill Digital Color Card Stock in 80lb weight that I got from Staples, which is a nice paper for several reasons. But you could use any card stock you like, even scrapbooking card stock! Go for card stock, not thin paper, remember it’s a box and you want it to be sturdy.

The finished box size is approx. 4 1/8″ x 2 3/4″ x 1 1/8″. That fits my soaps which are produced using the 10″ silicone loaf mold from Brambleberry, but SHOULD fit the ones from Crafters Choice (as well as others) but I didn’t test them. Of course this will probably not fit any of the more decorative soaps with embeds on tops, etc. Measure your soap bars first to verify that they will fit before printing.

ALWAYS take the time to print one out on cheap paper or card stock first and assemble the box before you go into making a ton of these. If your soaps don’t fit properly you don’t want to be left with a bunch of wasted paper and ink.

Have fun!
